AFCI Cineposium – The 43rd global business forum of the Association of Film Commissioners International, which brings together film commissions and leaders of the film, television and media markets from around the world. The purpose of the forum is the development of international co-products and exchange of experience in the field of creative industries.

In previous years, the forum was held in the United States, Great Britain, Korea, New Zealand, France and other world production centers with the participation of major studios. This year, from 13 to 16 September, the Synepozium was held for the first time in St. Petersburg. The leaders of HBO, Universal, Sony PlayStation Productions, Blumhouse, Ukie, producers of “Mad Max: Fury Road”, “Planet of the Apes”, “Fountain”, “Angels & Demons”, “Star Wars” and 20 other key speakers from the US, Europe and Asia. The panel discussions of the forum discussed the hottest topics from the concept of gender equality in cinema “50/50 by 2020" to co-production with Europe and Asia.

One of the main topics of the Symposium was film tourism, Secretary General of UNWTO Zurab Pololikashvili and Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Zarina doguzova addressed the audience of creative industries for the first time.
